About the Role
The Surgery Center of Fairbanks is seeking an experienced, dynamic Administrator to lead and oversee all aspects of our ambulatory surgery center operations. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and accrediting-body regulations while driving operational excellence, patient safety, and financial performance. The Administrator serves as internal risk manager, directs personnel and resources, and fosters strong relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and the community. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide strategic leadership, planning, and oversight of all facility operations in alignment with our mission, philosophy, and objectives.

  • Manage the environment of care, personnel, materials/equipment, and facility resources to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting, payroll, purchasing, cost-containment initiatives, and managed-care contracting.

  • Direct the compliance, performance improvement, and risk management programs.

  • Maintain strong physician relations, oversee credentialing, and support medical staff engagement.

  • Lead marketing and community outreach efforts to enhance the facility’s visibility and reputation.

  • Supervise and mentor the Clinical Director, Business Office Manager, and all facility personnel.


Required Qualifications
 
  • Business, financial, and healthcare management experience.

  • High school diploma or GED plus at least two years of advanced education in business, nursing, or healthcare administration.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong ethical standards.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.


Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Registered Nurse with active state license.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration.

  • CPR certification.

  • Previous ASC leadership experience.

  • Strong computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
